چکیده
Background: Fatigue is a common symptom in many chronic inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It considered one of the most frustrating, uncontrollable, and overwhelming symptoms. However, rheumatologists do not assess fatigue despite its clinical significance impact on patients’ lives. Objectives: The aims this study were to determine whether RA patients express more than healthy controls, analyze correlation with disease activity. Methods: We conducted cross-sectional (ACR/EULAR 2010) controls matched for sex age. Patients other acute or diseases that may induce (such as cancer, infection depression) excluded. Demographic data following parameters collected: pain Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Global Patient Assessment (GPA), tender joint count (TJC) swollen (SJC), Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), C Protein Reactive (CRP), Disease Activity Score 28 (DAS28), Health Questionnaire (HAQ). was assessed using Functional Chronic Illness Therapy – (FACIT-F) which short 13-item questionnaire validated RA. score FACIT-F ranges between 0 52. mild if ≥40, moderate 20≤FACIT-F<40 severe 0≤FACIT-F<20. A p value inferior 0.05 significant. Results: included 100 (84 women 16 men) mean age 49.5±10 years old [18-65]. duration 87.3 months [1-360]. VAS 49 cm [0-100] GPA 47.8 [0-100]. INTRODUCTION Rheumatoid arthritis-associated autoantibodies (RA-AAB) can be present in serum years before clinical onset of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It has been hypothesized that initiation of RA-AAB generation occurs at inflamed mucosal surfaces, such as in the oral cavity or lungs. The aim of this study was to assess systemic presence of RA-AAB in patients without RA who had oral or lung mu...
